A couple of days ago I got the funniest/most awful one ever, it was made on Emmie's Fall Fox coat, and this is literally what it said,
" I tеnd not to leave a lot of remarks, howeνer after browsіng through a lot of соmmеnts on "Emmie's Fall Fox Coat".
I аctuаlly do hаνe a cоuple of quеѕtionѕ foг yοu if іt's allright. Could it be simply me or does it look like a few of these remarks appear as if they are coming from brain dead individuals? :-P And, if you are posting on other online social sites, I would like to keep up with you. Could you make a list of all of all your social community pages like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed? "
REALLY Spammers? You insult people (and I VERY much doubt anything that wasn't a robot actually ever read a single comment, or they would know they were all very lovely comments.) and then try to direct me and my craft/family blog to sensual body massage spam?
Please leave me alone Spammers! Although you may be occasionally VERY funny, I have never, and will never click on one of your links, the likely-hood of me sending you all my information is non existent (and you just fill in my inbox.)
I'm still chipping away at my project list for Project Run and Play, and So You Think You are Crafty, but I'm sick right now which is making things harder, but I'm working on eating that elephant!
EDIT: OH THE IRONY! I just got a spam email about this post!
Aww - I am so sorry you are sick! Feel better soon. You should come up with a fun Korean response to all your spammers ;op
ReplyDeleteIf you go to your blogger page (where you can view stats and stuff) go to comments. There is a "spam" section. That's probably where the spam comments are and you can delete them from there. If it really bugs you, you can start some minor moderation (there is an option for registered user under the settings/posts and comments area). I just started reporting all the spam comments as spam and they went away for the most part.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon!
Thanks Isabella! The spam actually doesn't show up in my spam folder, only by email, so I don't quite know how that works! I got rid of word verification etc. so it was easier for people to comment, so I guess I'm stuck with it!
DeleteI get those all the time on my blog too! They never get published so I don't know why the spammers keep trying.
ReplyDeleteI actually think I have seen that exact comment in my spam folder. ha! I'm not on blogspot but seems these could be filtered before they hit your email. I use Akismet over on Wordpress. It's awesome that stuff all get filtered out to a folder that I don't have to ever look at. I checked for a few months- paranoid about lost real comments. I only ever found a couple out of the hundreds of spam and they were really link heavy.
ReplyDeleteugh the spammers. i turned on word verification for a while, but that's so insanely annoying...
ReplyDeletei've been wondering the same thing lately...what's the point? blogger pretty much catches them all. they don't get published. why????? JUST LEAVE ME ALONE! ;0)
You have great blog. Me likey mucho. Wanna be my friend? :) Come visit me. Or better yet- I'll come visit you!!!! I'm so exccciiittteeedd!!!
ReplyDeleteI have no spam link. the only link I can offer is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uE-1RPDqJAY
